Rex Dart #2 Posted July 31, 2014 Doubt it. It's not a Classic Controller, after all.

Atariboy #5 Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) Hay dose the Wii u classic controller pro work on wii? If it's actually a Classic Controller Pro, it's a Wii accessory and is a redesign of the Wii Classic Controller (and is functionally identical to it). If it's a Wii U Pro Controller like I think we're all assuming you're inquiring about, you've been given your answer already. I've only given them a passing glance, but I believe that some of these 3rd party Wii U branded controllers are actually just Wii Classic Controllers masquerading as Wii U accessories. The one that looks like a Super Nintendo gamepad that has been shrunk and installed onto a modern gamepad is one such example even though it's marketed for the Wii U. https://www.ebgames.com.au/wiiu-159832-Pro-Controller-U-for-Wii-U--Retro-Grey-Wii-U That one incidentally apparently has a neat feature. It's a Wii remote and a Classic Controller all in one so it's a fully wireless Wii Classic Controller. No need to tether to a Wii remote like with an official Classic Controller. I looked into that one. I was interested until I read about the cheapo battery and half-hour playtime.
Atariboy #7 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) Seen anything about this one? It's from a company called Gioteck and is called the GC-2. It's fully wireless and in later versions supposedly has a button to switch between Classic Controller and Pro Controller modes (And no Wiimote needed for CC mode). Sounds promising from the little I've found about it. Edited August 22, 2014 by Atariboy
