Crazy Climber #1 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) Hello So here is a little project I made. This started when a friend of mine requested a "metal book" design for one of his projects. At first I thought it was not possible but after a little trial and error I figured out a way to make a solid metal book.... It's .090 Sheet metal painted a deep bronze color then CNC machined/etched ADVENTURE graphics on the front, back and side spline. The pages are made from milled Aluminum composite, cnc cut and stacked to give a "book" illusion. Now just pop it open... (Strong magnet system with precise hole locations milled for a tight locked fit) And inside you have a Machined SOLID aluminum "ADVENTURE" wall set! The pieces are separated by a machined composite spacer covered in the finest felt that my Mom had in her basement, lol This will protect them from scratching Take everything out and act out your favorite Adventure scenes... ....but when it's late and time to go to bed, put everything back in the book nice and neat and display it on your shelf with the rest of your Atari collection I designed the book box to be the same size as a standard boxed Atari release for "collectability" (and it also fits in an Atari 2600 box protector) I only made a couple of these. They are kind of expensive to fabricate and require a lot of assembly If anybody would like one they are $45 shipped Thanks!
