Jaguar Hardware/Software Develepors (from bitd) now on AtariAge

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone on this forum developed software or hardware for Jaguar back in it's retail production run.  This articles offered me a few hints that lead me to believe this might be the case.

If so, would you mind sharing your name (if you feel comfortable) and what you worked on.  Perhaps also some memories from working with Atari or your company and in the industry at that time, and what things were like.

Thanks!!

Tell us about your slam racer experiences!  You were also involved in the Speedster II project correct?

Yep speedster II and sky copter came from Mario the programmer of Breakout 2000

Cool, that's interesting to know.  I was just pulling CJ's leg but you learn something everyday.  I'll give breakout my vote by a long shot out of that lot...lol.

I've never heard of that title so thought you were kidding but checked it out and looks pretty cool.  Top down racer in the vein of RC Pro AM and Power Drive Rally. How long did you work on it for? Any idea of what happened to the source code?

We have also been visited by a few of the developers of Bubsy over the years.  Here are the links to what they had to add:

The director of the Bubsy development team (name escapes me at the moment)

And we got some great material from Trevor Raynsford who developed the modplayer used in Bubsy, Raiden, Zool2 and Temptest 2000:

So is a playable copy available anywhere?  Or does it have to stay in the vault until a certain amount of time passes?  Or are you just hoarding it?

Maybe its time you got paid for all that work by releasing a copy :)
