But I finally spent a few hours playing some older games in my library, and I think I have a new favorite..

 

BEAMRIDER!

 

I never really gave this one too much time, as it seemed to be sort of generic sounding.

Still love Looping, Venture, Mousetrap, and the Donkey franchise..

 

But Beamrider is super slick, smooth and the sprite work is really done well.

Yup, it's a good game. Looks and plays great on every platform I've ever tried it on.

Beamrider is a great game for sure. Still one of my favorites.
