AW127
Played this again in STELLA and it`s really a great PACMAN version. You still work on this, DINTAR816? Any plans for a PAL60 version maybe? Edited March 15, 2016 by AW127
KAZ
I'd love to see the 8k version of this game on the first page. Edited March 30, 2016 by KAZ
Andromeda Stardust
Dintar, could you update the game video on this page with the very most recent 8k version, PLEASE? I often refer to this game as my number 1 favorite atari 2600 game OF ALL TIME, and I would love to have a video from you. On the video could you show at least the first intermission? This is of course only if you have the time to do this. No pressure, I just want to showcase this amazing game on forums etc. The intermissions of this game are dope!
hizzy
This is random, but I was wondering what popular opinion is: Should Pacman have an eye?

PhoenixMoonPatrol
Not really liking an eye on PacMan. The 2600 original PacMan box art was bad enough with that dot eye.

The idea makes me cringe almost as much as when people call the monsters "ghosts." Edited May 5, 2016 by darryl1970
KAZ
In pac-land, only women and adolescents (jr. pac-man) are allowed to have eyeballs. Adult men are not. It is just the rule . Lol. Edited May 5, 2016 by KAZ

Many will still argue even after showing them the bezel or pointing out the naked monster in the intermission.

KAZ
I always just thought the monster was 'deflated' in the intermission. Because he had that zipper on him. I didn't even slightly think the monster was 'naked'.

Andromeda Stardust
Not that discussion again! Word. I think you mean "ghosts" monster, ghost = same thing. I like to imagine they taste like marshmallows when you eat them...
KAZ
This is all semantics, and not overly important, but here's my take: The arcade pac-man they were called: monsters The original Atari 2600 they were called: ghosts (from the manual). It is up to Dintar what he wants to call them in his game. It will be part of his manual when it is finally released. *you see me throwing money at the screen*. Edit: In his first post, Dintar refers to them as: ghosts. Edited May 6, 2016 by KAZ
Andromeda Stardust
I've always referred to them as ghosts, but honestly to me it doesn't matter. They could be poltergeists with blankets for all I care.
NE146
It's an interesting question that I don't think has been discussed yet. i.e. "ghosts" vs. "Monsters" in the game "Pac-Man" (aka Puckman). darryl1970 do you have an opinion on this? Everyone feel free to chime in with their thoughts. Let's hash this out. Edited May 6, 2016 by NE146

Keatah
Ghosts! Definitely! They look like a head with a sheet covering it. They are not scary looking at all. Monsters are too scary and all that, and the ghosts in Pac-Man are rather cute in Hello Kitty kind of way.

+Random Terrain
No matter what the original game designer called the creatures, the box in the center seems to be a closet that can hold an unlimited number of colored sheets (kind of like the closet version of the TARDIS). The box doesn't seem to be a cloning center where the ghosts of dead monsters enter cloned monster bodies. They just seem to be grabbing fresh sheets. I guess that means Pac-Man is a sheet eater. youtube.com/watch?v=OeEa3gTsVDohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeEa3gTsVDo

+Nathan Strum
They're monsters when they chase you and ghosts after you kill them. Seems perfectly logical to me. Or maybe they're zombies. Could explain a lot.
