Flesh Gordon

Recommended Posts

Acording to an old ad for Wizard video a Flesh Gordon(not to be confused with Flash Gordon) game based on the adult movie was going to come out. It was shown with Texas Chainsaw Massacare and said it was the first adult video game. Dose anyone know what happend? Did Wizard even get this game into development?

I was told that a programmer was contracted to do it (someone I recognized, but I can't remember the name), but the market collapsed and Wizard went under before he started work on it.

re: that guy seems to have one

Not really...I think that he uses X's on the left to note which carts he has in his collection (is that what those are for?). No X listed on Flesh Gordon.

BTW the other announced Adult title that was never made was Harem...and TCM itself differed from the original description of the game (play as a Texas Ranger OR the vengeful Leatherface).

I've got the pasties!  And I know how to use them!!

The only thing that I could add to this is to say that Flesh Gordon was NEVER shown at CES.

Moreso, the little "NR" in the middle means "Never Released".

Ok I remember the programmer now. It was none other than John "Jawbreaker" Harris. He never started it though as the contract fell through.

I've said this before. But if you read the description of the game in that ad ... It sounds an awful lot like Flash Gordon released by 20th Century Fox doesn't it? I wonder if 20th somehow aquired the concept of Flesh Gordon. Or more likely just a coincidence.

20th Century Fox's Flash Gordon was a version of the Sirius Software game Spider City, wich was available on all the big computer systems at the time. Flash Gordon is also missing the weird robots with their giant drill phalluses. I think the robots could have only improved the game.

Many of the Fox games were taken from Sirius originals. Im trying to remember the original names for Fantastic Voyage and Spacemaster X-7 now.

I wish they'd have ported Sneakers as well, an insanely fun shooter by Mark Turmell, creator of Turmoil for which I also thank him. The Sneakers from said game appear in Fast Eddie. It was more fun to shoot at them than to jump over them
