Shift838 #1 Posted September 3, 2014 I am looking at wanting to work on the HATARI emulator to emulate a 1040ST. Or is there a better emulator I should be using? Would be nice if there was an emulator that would actually map the communication port on the PC in order to interface and use devices like modems, etc. Mind you, I have never even touched a 1040ST or any other atari computer. I have been able to boot with the TOS image, but where can I find hard disk images that have the programs, etc on them so I can start learning the Atari environment. I am intersted in programming, etc. I do not even know how to get into basic on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks. Chris
eeun #2 Posted September 9, 2014 The archive.org TOSEC has most commercial releases for the ST, including programming software. Steem can map midi and com to PC connected devices. I haven't tried the com port, but I did play Pirates! recently and the music mapped through midi to my Yamaha keyboard.
