Coleco Megacart games on BlueMSX

Recommended Posts

I was wondering, does anyone know how to play Colecovision Megacart games on BlueMSX? I've been trying to play an Opcode game on BlueMSX. I tried both Colecovision emulator modes and it did not work.

Go to Tool > files. It will bring up a menu. In the Open ROM Dialog box, there is a drop down menu. Select Colecovision MegaCart from the menu.

Alternatively, if you wanted to create a batch file or launch from Command Line, the example structure would look like this:

bluemsx.exe /machine "COL - ColecoVision with Opcode Memory Extension" /rom1 "C:\Path\To\Your\ROM\Pac-Man Collection.rom" /romtype1 "113"

Typed exactly as shown above - including quotes.

I could not find "Tools > Files"

I could not find "Tools > Files"

Menu item "Tools", click on the "Files" tab in the window that appear.

EDIT: Sorry, the above is incorrect: In the "Options" menu, select "Emulation", and click on the "Files" tab.

Menu item "Tools", click on the "Files" tab in the window that appear.

It does not contain that for some reason. Tools contains Machine Editor, Input Editor, Shortcut Editor, Sound Mixer, Debugger, Trace Logger, and Trainer.

I edited my post above, but it seems you missed it.

In the "Options" menu, select "Emulation", and click on the "Files" tab. Select "ColecoVision MegaCart" as default ROM type.

It's in the File menu, insert cartridge or something.

Just don't forget setting mapper to "Colecovision Megacart®" at same time you select the file.
