SoundGammon #1 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) If you're building a MAME cabinet, this sound card is the best way to go. The neat thing about them is that you can move 2 jumpers to change it from a "line-out" to a "speaker-out"! With this card you can power the speakers directly from the sound card. No need for an amplifier! Stereo sound too! I have one in my Donkey Kong JR. with MAME in it too! I'm putting 2 new 6x9 coaxial speakers in my Tempest cabinet, cutting new holes up where the original speaker is now. Typhoon 2001 has stereo sound and when you move the shooter from one side to the other, the sound moves with it! You can find them on E-Bay. Not too pricey either! patbb #2 Posted September 8, 2014 Good to know, thanks. I still have a couple of those in a box somewhere!
Cynicaster #3 Posted September 9, 2014 Pretty cool, but I just use 2.1 PC speakers in my cabinet, which have the amp built in. They work great. If I were to use an amp, I'd probably use one of these: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0049P6OTI/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0
Keatah #4 Posted September 10, 2014 That's a very nice and simple soundcard, the ct4700.
