Hardly no info on net on Sega SC-3000 Cassette tape software

Recommended Posts

I know not very many people ever owned a SEGA SC-3000 Computer.

But I once did in 1985 for about 6 months or so.

I had very little Game Cartridges for it, but I did own about 8 or 9 Text/Graphics Adventures for it that loaded up from cassette in

Sega Basic.

As i can remember (I was only 8 years old at the time/wish I could remember the names of those), it had some nice graphical adventures on Tape that was split up in 3 or 4 parts or so.

One I clearly remember was Bastow Manor, and there was a few others I once had.

Ive tried searching around Google for something like Sega SC-3000 Cassette tape software/adventures but nothing comes up. Like its all been forgotten for good. (Only there Cartridge software games show up!)

Do these adventures still exists or were they ever dumped on the net as Tape images?

And another thing I know theres a least 2 Sega SC-3000 emulators out there (ones Meka) . But do any Emulate Tape control ? I doubt.

Even though it would of been nice to find info/solutions on those so I could lay my mind to rest after never solving those adventures.

:| Anyone know ?

Ask around at the SMS Power boards and I'm sure Bock or someone there will know more about them - their expertise runs quite deep.

Well I tried all those links...

http://sg1000.emucamp.com/scgames.htm <--- It had some info on tape software but nothing on the graphic adventures. :(

http://www.digitpress.com/faq/sg1000.txt - This was mainly just foucsing on the SG-1000 console with cartridge games. No tape software at all.

http://members.tripod.com/~faberp/sc3gms.htm <--- much the same as above.

I probably been to those sites before when I was looking my info so as MegaManFan Said I go and ask in the SMS Boards if they have a higher knowledge on Sega computers.

This could of been the wrong place to ask, thanks away Kepone and MegaManFan.

I love to research on the web so I'm willing to help out if someone needs to find something. You don't even have to ask.

I would do what MMF suggested and go to the SMS Power boards. Never been to them myself, but if it talks about Sega then it's bound to have some information on their lesser-known systems.

I when and asked over there and I got a lot of useful info minutes after my post! 8)

They certainly know a lot about Segas.

I found a site with some info on the games I asked about.

Appartenly someone in New Zealand has those games and he sented them to France and has been waiting patiently for them to be dumped on the net.

Unfortunately no Sega SC-3000 emulator supports Tape Emulation as yet because "they dont exist". There are over 60 Cassette tapes waiting to be dumped and when they are im sure a Sega SC-3000 Emulator will supprt Tape Emulation soon so I and everyone and play those games again!
