Arcade Evolution -- possibly 7800-compatible?

Recommended Posts

Check this out...once in a great while I check out some Amiga sites to see what's going on with my old platform, and found this.

It's a two-button joystick, and I know from my old Amiga days that the same controllers that worked in Atari 2600 (and ergo presumably 7800) worked in Amiga stuff as well.

Has anybody tried this??

Can't load the page, FWIW. Anyway, there were at least a couple of ways to add a 2nd button to those controllers. I think the Amiga may have used the method used by the MSX or Sega controllers...?

Probably not -- I used a Genesis controller on my Amigas and only button B worked.

For the curious, ~$30 ($28.27) to ship the joystick to the US.

They do take all major credit cards, money orders, checks, and PayPal, if still interested.

With the recent board activity though, especially if looking for something 7800 specific, best to wait.

Yeah, the price did throw me. Said it before: paying more for a controller than I paid for the actual console (plus a bunch of games!) doesn't give me fuzzy feelings.

That looks nice but are Amiga gamers modding old Amiga games to use the second fire button like the various ST hobbyists are modding old games to work on different TOS versions, supporting later 680x0 CPUs, and allowing for hard drive installations?
