Atari 5200 not powering on

I just got an Atari 5200 2x Port game console from Goodwill and it is not powering on. When I press the power button the power LED flashes for a second and thats it. Does someone has an idea how I can fix this one?

Could be a faulty powersupply in the 5200 or could be that something on the board isn't getting the power needed to run or something on the board is getting too much power.

its the power supply try using a multi-power supply with the following 11.5v DC 1.95 Amp

When I got my Atari 5200 many years ago (in 2008), I encountered the same issue you're currently having. I didn't know if the problem was the power supply or something internally. I ended up purchasing a new 5200 power supply from Myatari and thankfully everything worked fine. Never had an issue with it since. So in my case, the power supply was the problem and it just needed a new one.

all system power is handled by the little IC near the power switch. It's a common failure point and cheap. Real easy to replace if socketed.
