zander21510
So I recently got a nanoPEB for my TI-99/4A, it's great so far I've succesfully stored and loaded a BASIC program, haven't had a lot of time to mess around with it yet though. Another reason I got it is because I can't seem to find a cassette recorder (even branded TI recorders) that will save and load a program... My quesiton is: I have a Personal Record Keeping cartridge that I would like to save some databases to, there is an option to save/load data from "other device" but when i select that option it says "Error Cannot Access The Device". Am I doing something wrong or is the nanoPEB just not compatable with this particular cartridge's save function? Thanks!
Omega-TI
It's been like 25 years since I've even thought of that program, but I seem to recall that it worked just fine with a standard disk drive on a P-Box. I cannot remember exactly, but I think DSK1.FILENAME in all upper case should work. Now unless that program accesses the hardware differently and is not compatible somehow, but that's not an error I ever experienced with the Nano. What do the docs say? dphirschler
You might need to create a blank dsk image and store it on the nanopeb. Then you can write your files to that "disk".
+hloberg
use TI99DIR to create a blank disk on you CF card, say disk 10. in BASIC do a CALL MOUNT(1,10) to mount the disk. In OTHER choose DSK1 to save to. that should work.
zander21510
Okay thanks for the tips! It does say in the cartridge manual that it can save to disks, but its vague about it. I'll try it out when I have some time
