2600 auto detection

The only way I see to switch quickly between 2600 and ColecoVision games is to physically disconnect the expansion module from the system. I'd like to change that.
What I have in mind is use of a reed switch to connect the 5 volt power line inside the expansion module whenever a 2600 game is plugged in. I also considered just adding in a toggle switch on the side of the module instead.

Is there anything else I'd need to disconnect? If I shut down the power to the expansion module, I don't expect the system would even know it was still hooked up.

I believe you may also have to break (reed switch) one or more of the external video lines from the expansion interface. Although if you cut power to the expansion module that may not be the case. Perhaps you can figure it out from the attached schematics.
