Hey everyone first time post I need some help I'm new to the atari 2600 but I recently brought a bundle on eBay for $50 I live in australia so obviously it's a pal console but with the bundle I got 3 games PAC Kong, tuby bird and a no label atari cart that doesn't work

Anyway how would I get this game working all that's coming up is a black screen when I turn the console on I know the console works from the other games but this one doesn't wanna show itself to me for some reason I really wanna know what the game is

Anyone have advice

Thanks in advance

Have you tried cleaning the contacts? You have to open up the covers on the bottom of Atari produced games before you can go in there with the Q-tips, but the site's how-to guide explains it better than I could. http://atariage.com/howto/clean_cartridges.html

If it still doesn't work after that, try adjusting the cartridge inside of the slot. It sounds stupid, but sometimes games that normally never work will magically play perfectly if the cart's contacts touch the console's at a certain angle. If all else fails, I'd say just open it up and see if there's anything weird going on with the circuit board.

Welcome to AA, Jack. What Frostbite just said. This place is full of nerds who can recognize a game when they see a screenshot for half a second after being woken up at 3 am.

even if you don't get it working , open up the cart & take a snap of the PCB .... a few of those non-labeled carts can be a rarity (unlikely but possible)

I agree cleaning the cart will most likely solve the problem though.
