Oddball 4 Way Single Button Joystick

Recommended Posts

So, I picked this odd duck off a joystick up at Hamvention in Dayton a few months ago from an outdoor vendor and proceeded to forget about it. Dug it out tonight and I can't help but be intrigued by it. All I know is that it is 4-way, has a large single button, has a standard DB-9 connector on it, and it appears to be very high quality. Anyone have any info on this bugger?

Or at least a place where a sticker with the brand and model might have fallen off?

Looks like it could be called 'The Bugger'...

Was able to do some digging (with the aid of Zookeeper) and discovered that this joystick is/was made by a company called Tash. It's not really meant to be used as a gaming joystick at all, it seems. It's more along the lines of an input device that people with motor skill problems would use in place of a mouse, with the fire button acting as a left click button. Looks like it was available in DB-9 or USB flavor. I might do some digging around and see about donating it to the county MRDD here if they can use it.
