Magnavox Odyssey 1972 Homebrew "Lava Monster"

Recommended Posts

Hello Fellow Vintage Game Lovers!

I am new to the Atari age forum, so nice to meet all of you.

I am in the process of designing and producing a Homebrew for the original 1972 magnavox odyssey console.

It will use the basic in box game cards to play. (Update: game card #4)

Lava Monster

The Product will come with a box, instructions, three 8.5 x 11 inch overlays, a certificate of authenticity signed by myself, score counting rocks, and score jars.

I am planning on producing 40 units.

However, before I put the game to production I need to have the interest to move forward.

So, how many people would be interested in purchasing in the future? (Around 15~20 dollars)

Thank you

Update: 10/8/2014

Pieces finished as of current: Instructions, Score Rocks, Certificate of Authenticy, Score Jars, Box Concept Version 1.0

Update: 10/10/2014

Finished Box Concept Version 2.0. Decided to go with a non traditional box to be different. Same fonts. Different style. May allow choice between two boxes. Will post pics. Finalized Cert, Instructions, and Score Rocks.

Update: 10/14/2014

Boxes finalized and assembled. 18 currently in stock.

Cannot find the same supplies I used elsewhere as I bought all stock of special cardstock. May produce less than 40 copies (around 25).

Next on list: overlays.

Any ideas people would like to see in particular?

Hey guys! Tools some time off from pretty much all gaming related tasks. I will be finishing this up as soon as possible. Overlays are pretty much done just waiting for some free time to get them finished. Thanks for being patient

Thanks!

I thought that I'd enquire about the state of this one since I haven't heard anything in a while.

I checked Michael's profile. He hasn't posted here since 2015, so I think it may be safe to say this is dead...
