Unbeliever #330 Posted September 1, 2015 Good score. I did 24,230 back about a week or so ago. However, I did worse when I played the MAME version. For better scores, I'll stick with my Atari 2600.
Cambouis de l'Atari #331 Posted September 1, 2015 (edited) Here's my best score on Ms Pacman, done some time ago : I like your idea of posting your high scores, it gives a challenge to beat I hope this one will give you some hard time to beat Wolfpaw, yes, the arcade version is something harder ! Opry99er #332 Posted September 2, 2015 GORF tonight... Barely got the extra ship when I took two fatalities straight to the face in the Laser Attack mission... Took two of them out with me, but that is a crappy way to lose two ships and end the game...
RJ #333 Posted September 2, 2015 (edited) Sat down this afternoon in my new gameroom, hadnt played the 2600 in like forever. Demon Attack & Pitfall, but then I switched to 7800 mode & played Crack'ed, Choplifter & Pete Rose Baseball. Also updated several high scores in my database (handwritten notebook page). Opry99er #334 Posted September 2, 2015 Little better GORF score before I hit the sack. I cannot get in the groove this week on GORF. Tried Ms Pac Man again tonight... Wanted to hit 50k. Not even close. As Scarlet O'Hara said... "Tomorrow... Is another day."
Cambouis de l'Atari #335 Posted September 2, 2015 Little better GORF score before I hit the sack. I cannot get in the groove this week on GORF. Tried Ms Pac Man again tonight... Wanted to hit 50k. Not even close. As Scarlet O'Hara said... "Tomorrow... Is another day." You're on the right way I'll try to play some games of Gorf this evening. RJ, my high score DB is also in a notebook, stored in the carts drawer
p.opus #336 Posted September 4, 2015 We also tried StarMaster and played some GORF. Starmaster seems like a really cool space game... Need to spend some time with it. Starmaster is an awesome game. It's what Star Raiders should have been on the 2600. In my opinion, nothing beats the original Atari 800 Star Raiders, but Starmaster distills that games essential elements into a great looking and playing 2600 package. If you can actually save all 4 bases at the hardest difficulty, you've accomplished something. If you even survive the highest difficulty, you have something to be proud of. If you are used to Star Raiders for the Atari 800, then Starmaster will be a little confusing in how bases get destroyed. In Starmaster a base doesn't have to be surrounded to be destroyed. Any ship adjacent to a starbase will attack the starbase. The more ships that are attackng the base, the quicker it will be destroyed. This causes a fundamental difference in strategy. In the original Star Raiders, you picked off the smaller squadrons first because they could cover more ground and surround a starbase faster. In Starmaster you go for the big 3 ship squadrons first as they have the highest concentration of enenies and will bring down a base quicker.
Thomas Jentzsch #337 Posted September 4, 2015 If you can actually save all 4 bases at the hardest difficulty, you've accomplished something. That was one of my biggest video game achievements back then. And yes, Starmaster is GREAT!
Opry99er #338 Posted September 5, 2015 Thanks for the strategy tips!!! Tonight, more GORF. Still not great, but better than my last few outings. Getting my chops back... Still suckin' though.

24Fanatic365 #341 Posted September 6, 2015 Playing some Kool-Aid Man (OH YEAHHHHH!!!) and Rocky & Bullwinkle tonight. Can't understand why M-Network killed the Bullwinkle project without releasing the game. It's really pretty fun! Opry99er #348 Posted September 9, 2015 Played Battlezone tonight for our High Score Competition... Fun game, nice graphics, but I think I am 'missing something'... Kept getting blasted from behind and lost 4 tanks in less than 2 minutes once I crossed 45,000 points. Need to play some more. My best score: 48,000 The boy's best score, 27,000 Target Fun (variation 4): Me: 3 games Buck: 4 games Love game night with my son...
Opry99er #349 Posted September 9, 2015 Also played some Centipede in Stella (no physical Centipede cart) Scored 54,000+ Not the greatest score, but I was proud of it. Very awesome game, and I need to get a cart version now, for sure.
