IntellivisionDude #1 Posted October 11, 2014 If anybody is interested, a Youtuber by the name of Highretrogamelord is doing gameplay videos for every single Intellivision game. He is known for doing these for every game on every old school system. Looks like he is finally getting to the Intellivision. He is only up to Beauty & The Beast so far but uploads a few of these every day. Here is a link to the playlist. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLETIxHfs6dO7I_WwzJnsLTonRaAp1V_Ms

That is one cool looking game-play video.
Eric7100 #4 Posted October 19, 2014 He skipped Blix.
+cmart604 #5 Posted October 19, 2014 He skipped Blix. Maybe he wasn't at CGE and therefore he doesn't own Blix.
Eric7100 #6 Posted October 19, 2014 Maybe he wasn't at CGE and therefore he doesn't own Blix. Well, he skipped Adventures of Tron too, so I wouldn't exactly call him a completist.
Eric7100 #7 Posted October 19, 2014 He also skipped Bowling and the original Donkey Kong.
IntellivisionDude #8 Posted October 19, 2014 Calm down Eric. He did do Donkey Kong. And he probably hasn't done Bowling since the full title is PBA Bowling.
IntellivisionDude #9 Posted October 19, 2014 Also looks like i posted the wrong link to the playlist. Here is the correct link. It does look like he did forget to add Donkey Kong to the Playlist but you will see it if you go straight to his uploads page. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLETIxHfs6dO7I_WwzJnsLTonRaAp1V_Ms

+freewheel #11 Posted October 20, 2014 I play it so rarely that I don't remember it well, but.. I really don't get the DK hate in this community. It's a fine port given when it came out, the limitations of the INTV in terms of sprites, and the fact that it was 3rd party. Yeah, there were much better arcade/action games for the system, but it's not like this is the worst on the platform. Not by a long shot.

DZ-Jay #13 Posted October 20, 2014 Hmmm... No Christmas Carol... I do like how he plays the games in a way that showcases all or most game-play features.
IntellivisionDude #14 Posted October 20, 2014 Hmmm... No Christmas Carol... I do like how he plays the games in a way that showcases all or most game-play features. Most but not all, i commented when he didn't launch the saucer in Atlantis. He replied and said he doesn't like using it. But i think you should show something like that. It's an important feature worth showcasing. Some people forget that when you do a video like this that isn't quite about showcasing your skills but showcasing the game, show the features you don't normally use. He also didn't drop even 1 enemy on a bun (burger ingredient) in Burgertime. That one always bugs me. 9 out 10 Burgertime videos (that are not mine) never drop the enemies. Every time i want to reach through the screen and grab the controller. And lastly, he didn't show the Mother Ship in Demon Attack. To me that is a crucial game element to show. Showing that showcases what other versions like the 2600 version lacks. But i'm just nit picking. LOL Maybe he didn't get the chance or know that you could get the Christmas Carol rom. I never realized it could be gotten free on your site until it was mentioned here.

Don't you wonder what else you've missed in two years? dZ.

I did miss the second annual Christmas Carol high score contest. But last year was not my year. Not what so ever. But i hope to play this year if there is a 3rd annual. +doctorclu #17 Posted October 20, 2014 I play it so rarely that I don't remember it well, but.. I really don't get the DK hate in this community. I honestly don't get the hate for E.T. for the Atari VCS except that people seemed to say they didn't like it and it became popular to say so. I enjoyed that game quite a lot back in the 80's. Donkey Kong for the Intellivision might have been playable, but I guess it was the one in Intellivision's library that people said "Wow that game was bad." You want to see a bad game? How about Zaxxon? But not as many people have played Zaxxon as have played Donkey Kong I suspect. So they knew what Donkey Kong should have looked like, and that just made the Intellivision version more fun to comment on.

+doctorclu #20 Posted October 20, 2014 From what I've seen Kool-Aid Man on the Intellivision is at least better than the Atari 2600 version.
Eric7100 #21 Posted October 20, 2014 From what I've seen Kool-Aid Man on the Intellivision is at least better than the Atari 2600 version. They're two completely different games. I actually prefer the Atari 2600 one.
