I suddenly have the uncontrolable urge to give something away.

 

Up for grabs is a H.E.S multi-cart (PAL)

"Super Hit Pak" containing the games:

*Frogger

*Stampede

*Seaquest

*Boxing

*Skiing

It doesn't look very good and some of the end label is missing

but it does have 5 games on it

 

Like before this is a question you have to answer to win

BUT you have to answer using the same cypher as the question

in other words you have to encrypt your answer so it looks like the question

I rechecked the code this time so it is correct.

I haven't quite sorted out the logic of the code and there's one letter in the answer that isn't in the question. Hopefully I'll get a chance to guess again before anyone else works it out...

Well, the same code can't equal two different letters, so.......

The same code can equal two letters, if the encoding of each letter depends on something that came before. Enigma did this.

 

But I meant, it'll be interesting to see if your answer is right, or off by one letter. My (new) solution has one letter different to yours.

VOWEL CIPHER

Louis Mansfield introduced the concept of a vowel substitution cipher in 1936. [MANS] In the vowel cipher the key alphabet is written into a square with j=i, like this:

Enciphering is row by column or t = OO ; h = EI ; and e = AU.

 

The entire CT message enciphered is a succession of vowels. The CT will be exactly twice as long as the PT.

Then I'm lucky the answer didn't have a "k" in it. I just wrote AAAAAEEEEEIIIIIOOOOOUUUUU then AEIOU...next to each when I saw that fit my assumption that "OOEIAU"="THE" (OOEIAU is the only word used more than once - best way to spot "the"). I quessed you just skipped "k" as it was between where the "E" string ended and the "I" string needed to begin. Didn't know it was a pre-exiting cypher.

 

I would never have thought of that "j/i" thing....
