Legal Ways to Get As Many Intellivision ROMs as Possible

Prior to the Intellivisionaries podcast and joining this board I wasn't aware of the multitude of ways to enjoy Intellivision ROMs - either via PC emulation and the upcoming LTO Flash and Hive carts (for those of us to late to the Cuttle Cart party).

 

Since getting back into my INTV addiction I've been trying to track down as many legal ROMs as possible. So far I have the following list:

• Intellivision Lives! disc
• Intellivision Rocks! disc
• DK Arcade, D2K Arcade ROMs (were available via purchase)
• Christmas Carol on its site: http://www.carolvsghost.com/pg_game.html
• Multiple ROMs on the Intelligentvision site: http://www.intellivision.us/index.php

Are there any others that I'm missing?

Well, there's the venerable Intellivision Greatest Hits for PC/Mac, but that's just 10 games, and I'm pretty sure they're all on Lives! or Rocks!

Most of the ROMs available through intellivision.us are of dubious legality.

I think John Doherty had a site with a few roms for download of works-in-progress, that kind of thing. I can't seem to find it now, so maybe it's been taken down. I know there was a WIP version of Firegirl vs. the Zombies there. Also, older version(s) of Old School.

You also can buy Intellivision Products from Keith Robinson. This will get you a lot of ROMs. Might be expensive.

Intellivision Rocks (which includes the Activision and Imagic games) is the only collection still available on the Intellivision Lives site.

have a look in the programming threads. You will find latest version of clowns vs balloons. Also in that thread is balloons vs the clowns of christmas present. Then there is gosub. Ping is there as well

 

Edit: when you look at threads in programming section start at the last page and work your way back. That is how you find lastest copy they made

The Mac version is for pre-Intel stuff so is pretty old and not so useful if you have anything made in in the last 10 years, but it's legal.

 

I'll bet the ROMs can be extracted from the Windows version if you put in the effort.
