Atari 2600 Homebrew games that come in a UGC...

Recommended Posts

Hello

I loved boxed Atari 2600 Homebrews but have recently started collecting ones that were released in a UGC (Universal game case) also

I have the following...

- All of Simon Q's limited edition releases

- Muncher

- Mean Santa

- All the Videosoft 3D titles/etc

Does anyone know of any others?

Do you prefer the UGC over a traditional box?

No, lol. Just ran out of traditional box homebrews to collect (pretty much have them all)

They do look nice all lined up together though :)

Nope. Plastic. Cardboard gets crushed when you least expect it.

Bah, I keep them all secured in box protectors up high on my shelf :)

Have debated machining some lexan polycarbonate cases for them, but that might just be getting a little weird...

CGE Adventures, Game Panic LCD, and Evil Magician Returns use the same DVD style case as Mean Santa.

MMSBC and MMSBC II use the UGC

GoSub II uses the VHS style black case. Looks like Alien Greed 3 uses the same but I can't confirm that. and Road Warriors use some other type of vhs case by the looks of it. (I don't own AG3 or RW)

If I ever make a Crazy Climber type game for you.. YOU gotta make the cases. Deal? :)

If you ask nicely Mean Santa is also available in a clear UGC version :)

Deal...but I might have something better...

I designed an aluminum joystick coupler to be used for a two joystick version of Crazy Climber. To my amazement it had never been done by anyone. Make a two joystick style game and the coupler can live again!

but seriously, I do want to try lexan display cases :)

Yup, this is a new option for the unlimited version of Mean Santa...I meant that the DVD style case came with the 100 Limited Edition copies.

I believe Tim Duarte is also selling UGC's with Meltdown as well.
