+Larry
Thanks! Some interesting ideas there in that thread. Neat that the threads can be viewed in English -- didn't know that until just now. -Larry

+Stephen
My first 1050 I tried the Mega Speedy in and had failure (see earlier posts) is working just fine with the original ICD US Doubler re-installed. Still not sure of the issue, but not stressed about it. I still have 2 working drives

guus.assmann
Hello All, Here's a warning about the installation paper that came with the MegaSpeedy unit. There's a mistake in the installation instructions, sorry for that. One wire for the I/O connection is listed wrong. The red wire should go to the capacitor or pin 8 and not pin 10. The website has it ok. BR/ Guus Assmann

What are you meaning with pin 10. Maybe the problems from other atari users wich mega speedy has problems. Gr. Marco I do like the 2 mega speedy's. john.lawson
BR/ Guus Assmann This technical masterpiece works very well. I only need the one drive now. IMG_1846.jpg I thought photo is required to clearly show where the wires go. IMG_1825.jpg And this to show the position of the plug on the main board. IMG_1837.jpg I did not cut the facia plate, the ribbon fits through the slot. I used 3M VHB tape on the back of the ribbon cable plug to hold the PCB firmly on the front. It could do with a small 3D printed bezel that attaches to the front plate screws for perfection. Hi Guus, Does this mean that my wiring shown on the first photo above is correct? John
guus.assmann
Hello Marko and John, The information on the website is correct. And the installation on the pictures is ok, it looks like the wire is on the left hand side of the capacitor. The pins that are mentioned, refer to the IC that's just above the capacitor. guus.assmann
Hallo All, The delivery from China has arrived. I now have 50 new MegaSpeedy's that need to be completed. This will take a little while, however I do have all the parts. Just a little extra work, because I need to make the hole in the PCB myself. +Firedawg
Hey Guss, is there an active list for those who ordered more than one or do I need to request another on a new list? If a new list please add me for 1 unit. Thx Mike.
guus.assmann
Hello Firedawg, Mike, The list has been made, but it's not going to work like that. You can just order another unit the same way you got the first one. Send a mail to Wolfgang. As long as the first batch is not totally sold, You'll have the unit quite fast. Today I've only managed to get 6 complete from the new batch. BR/ Guus Assmann
spookt
Is the second batch open to new orders? I didn't order one from the first batch and wished I had. I'm planning a summer of Atari in my summer break from study, and a mega speedy 1050 would go nicely
guus.assmann
Hello spookt, The second batch has been made regardless of sufficient orders. And the first batch may not be fully sold yet. So just contact Wolfgang to find out. ( abbuc@unitybox.de ) This is because we had a policy of only delivering one unit per buyer. But that policy is not applied anymore. I'm making reasonable progress on the final assembly for the boards. So far I have 22 functional units. Also I need to complete the display boards. Tomorrow is also a day I don't need to work, in our country (Netherlands) we have a 2nd Easter-day. So I'll be doing some soldering. I really like that for a hobby. guus.assmann
For me, the most fun part is that I finally have all the enhancements in one drive. I could never afford to buy all the individual ones, nor would I be able to find them. And there's loads of very good software for all these enhancements. BR/ Guus P.S. The second batch is almost ready, 50 more units will be available shortly. (I only need to find some time to deliver them to Wolfgang)

guus.assmann
Hello all, This afternoon (It's saturday right now) I'll bring the second batch of MegaSpeedy's to Wolfgang. There's a total of 48 units available. And that will probably be the end of it for me. It's been fun so far. I sure hope everyone who wants one, can get it. To buy, just mail to Wolfgang: atari@unitybox.de The price has remained the same. BR/ Guus Edited April 24, 2015 by guus.assmann
guus.assmann
Hello all, The drop has been made. If you want a second MegaSpeedy, now's the time. From the first batch, 6 are left.
