Games YOU would like to see ported to the TI

Recommended Posts

I didn't want to thread crap on another area so...

I think this old TRS-80 game might be another candidate for a port. It has a little space invaders type play with a few tweaks, multiple hits on upper levels (like Parsec), and the docking between levels (for a change up). It was fun to play, even with the blocky black and white graphics. It might be nice to see this converted.

Well-I thought asking for a version of Civilization would be taking the piss :-D

Astro Fighter on Kazoo's latest game cart (#5) looks very similar at first glance.

...and asking for a conversion of Elite isn't? ;)

I know the old vector/wire frame thing is a problem on the 4a, but at least the original Elite was done in 22K of code.

I reckon with Rasmus awesome smooth scrolling a decent conversion of Xevious wouldn't be too much of a stretch for the TI?

Qix

Also... my list of games I think could be ported to the TI:

Soccer Physics (IOS)
Jetpack Joyride (IOS and Android)
Yar’s Revenge (Atari 2600)
Pokemon (Nintendo)
Star Castle (Arcade)
ExciteBike (Nintendo)
Crazy Climber (Arcade)
Arkanoid (Arcade)
Dr. Mario (SNES?)
Tetris (PC?)
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES)
Prince of Persia (PC)

If Arkanoid is seriously in development, I hope special consideration is given to the MBX analog joystick. Or even a mouse or special paddle control.

I do not kiss and tell ;)

(Santa is listening... I will put up a development thread after the Faire.)

Tiger (Miner 2049'er people) made some xevious like game. TI's limited colors made it really hard to play IIRC.

Are you thinking of Espial? That was the only other TI title TigerVision released, although they were supposedly almost ready to release Springer too.

War Zone II is a very nice port of Xevious.

Thanks Rasmus, I'll check that out.

I second an earlier comment about Time pilot getting finished, that would be fantastic. I had seen that on Youtube a few years ago long before I

got a real TI again. I bet the TI could do a better job than the c64 on that, it suffers slowdowns but otherwise is good.
