Atari 8-Bit Secret Santa 2014

Anyone interested in participating in an Atari 8-Bit Secret Santa gift exchange with a cap of about $30 or so? I participate on the KLOV boards and it can be fun. If there is enough interest, I'd be happy to run it.

 

If we have at least 20 people interested by 8pm Eastern Time (UTC -05:00) Monday Nov 24th, I leave follow up instructions.

I'm surprised nobody replied. I'm sure I could find something interesting to throw in.

I'm surprised as well. I would think most of us have duplicates of books or software or hardware or other Atari 8-bit related items that we wouldn't mind sending off to see what kind of goodies we'd get back.

 

Most people on the KLOV seem happy with what they get. Folks there usually take a picture of the loot they get and post it.

Hrmmm I have a Ram 320XE I used for about 5 minutes and decided I'll never actually use as I like my 800xl's. I suppose I could toss that in, I'm never going to use it. I might have another thing or two I'll never use I can sweeten my submission with.

I stayed out because the cost of postage from Australia to anywhere else is astronomical.

 

And we know that we'll all end up swapping our spare Atari basic or Pacman cartridges!

 

Nice idea though maybe better if everyone is split into localities.

The rules are simply this, send me you name, address, t-shirts size via PM. Also include a list of three items that you would be interested in receiving (optional) and a list of three items that you have available (again optional). I'll try to match up the requests if possible. NO BASIC cartridges! I'll also try to match up geographical areas. If you are willing to ship internationally, let me know specifically. I'm willing to ship internationally.

 

The suggested value is $25 - $30 USD (new or old).

 

This is a great chance to move some of your excess Atari gear or anything classic gaming related.

 

I'll see how many PMs I get by Sunday Nov 30th and then exchange names/address. Once you receive a recipient, please try to ship by December 13th.
