Mystery Atari game box in Gremlins movie

We were watching Gremlins the other day, and while Stripe and Gizmo were wreaking havoc in the department store, this caught my attention:

 

 

That's the best shot of it I could get. I don't recognize this at all..

 

Given what was going on with Atari around the time this movie was released, I'm wondering if this was a product placement of a planned (but never released) game? My mind first went to Airworld, but I've since seen the art for that box, which doesn't resemble this one at all.

The title DEFINITELY looks like the stylized SwordQuest logo... the character on the far right looks kinda pirate-y; a bandana and hair flowing down... maybe an unused WaterWorld box art?
