Wanted: Intellivision controllers

Recommended Posts

Finally brought out my old Inty, and really want to get it back up and running. No fun seeing the title screen unable to play. If anyone has any spare controllers, or even just the mylar inserts, I'm interested!

Thanks in advance!

From what I have seen, the adapters are only for the INTV 2 and Sears editions. Correct me if I am wrong?

Basically yes, the Intv 2 and Sears VArcade have a standard 9 pin connector for their controllers which makes the adapter easy. However, inside an original Intv there is a different connector that you can use to swap out the controllers with those on the Flashback. It'll take a little effort from you, but it can be done. You might even contact nurmix and ask him to create one for you. I know he was working on an option for the orig Intv.

A quick solution would be to cut the cord on your original controllers and connect the wires to a female DB9 connector. Then you could plug Flashback controllers right in.

I've also seen the Mylar on sale sometimes from a guy in Venezuela here and on Ebay as well as Gamegavel.

Hm, interesting. Frankly at the moment, I'm really not looking to splice wires and waste a Flashback, but if it comes into that I will lookmore into those.

I've seen those mylars as well.

If possible I'd like to perhaps just find a suitable used controller replacement.

But thanks for your help.
