I'll be picking up a turkey drumstick and a glass of red wine and/or a good beer and/or eggnog with vodka. I avoid shopping on Thanksgiving so that fewer people in retail need to work on a holiday.

Exactly! I have been telling everyone that. I personally don't work retail but I am NOT going shopping on thanksgiving! It's downright bs. People have family's and they should be home not manning a store so some rich POS can make more $$! If people don't go they will cut this BS out and let people have the time off and CLOSE!

Seriously though, perhaps if you guys had laws that favour human beings instead of the ultra rich... up here people generally love working on holidays because you can earn time-and-a-half, double time, or sometimes more. It's a hell of a bonus for people on the lower end of the pay scale. As someone in IT who is specifically exempted from overtime laws, I'm almost jealous of retail employees. At least they get compensated for missing out on Hallmark Days.

I went to dollar General and picked up two more Intellivision flashbacks for 28 bucks cant beat that price i now have 5 lol but i am giving 4 away for Christmas presents

We don't have a Dollar General in my area but I went to their site and picked up the Intellivision and Colecovision FBs. $61 with tax. Not bad.

I picked up one (Intellivision) from Dollar General this morning. They also had Atari and Coleco. I kinda wanted the Genesis one, but no luck.

 

I went around 9am and only saw one other guy....who was buying 144 cans of Pepsi His cart was totally full of Pepsi!

I just picked up the Intellivision Flashback! I didn't go to DG because it's about a 1/2 drive and I'm too busy at home. But I was able to pop into the Walgreens while running an errand, and they have it on sale for $35. They also had the Atari and both Genesis units (console and portable).

 

I didn't play the Inty much as a kid. None of my friends had it, so I only played in the store kiosks. I'm looking forward to exploring all these games.

I asked the lady at Dollar General about working today. She and the other manager worked today so they could give all the normal employees the day off. She worked the day shift and will be eating dinner with her family. The other manager is working the night shift and ate lunch with his family. She seemed ok with it.
