Flashback Overlays: Intellivision Productions & Psycho Stormtrooper

I ordered one set, 12/3, and it arrived today.

 

For anyone else who received theirs, does yours have the overlays for Tower of Doom? Mine doesn't.

I'm not quite sure what I did wrong. I cleared my browser cache/history. Now I'm not logged in anwhere (other than AtariAge) and here is the URL that I got the overlays from:

Never got an order confirmation (though my money was accepted through PayPal).

Never got a response to an email I sent later that week.

Never got a response to an email I sent earlier this week.

 

I know it's only $12, but still....bad form by Intellivision Productions.

I think if the link had any of my personal information in it, it would have ? and & in the URL, wouldn't it? I don't know for sure, but I get the "myshopify" thing browsing in a new "incognito" (private) window with a cleared browser cache.

My Overlays arrived today!

 

At first I thought that I got really lucky...or that they were just really generous. I ordered 3 sets and received this:

 

 

Upon further inspection, you'll notice that there are three bags with the Right controller Chess overlay on top and three with the Left controller Chess overlay on top. Each bag only has singles, so apparently they bagged all of the right and left overlays in separate bags.

I haven't taken a full tally yet, but all of my sets seem to have Tower of Doom. I did notice that despite all of them having Chess on the top, they aren't always in the same order in the bag. I'll take some time later to make sure they're all in there. If you're missing them, I'd recommend contacting Intellivision Productions.

To be honest, I'm starting to get a little bit agitated that:

 

a) other people have received tracking/shipping notifications, and I haven't

b) people who ordered their sets later than me have already received them

 

Not to stir up any trouble, but isn't it logical that the orders would be shipped in the order that they were received? And why would only some of us receive tracking/shipping emails, while others haven't?

Concerned. I placed an order for 4 on the first day along with a set of playing cards. Was expecting them to be delivered by Xmas to a California address where I was going to be until Jan 4th. No confirmation number, no emails other than the one saying the Flashbacks were going out first. My email has not been responded to.

I don't really understand why shipping wasn't done as the orders came in instead of waiting until later in the month.

Please know that we have been shipping them fast and furiously since December 29 and we continue to ship out approximately 100 orders a day.

 

At the current pace, all overlay pack orders will be shipped by this Saturday, January 17.

 

When your package is labeled for shipping, you will receive a shipping confirmation email which will include a USPS tracking number.

 

Please understand that your Flashback unit wasn't "missing" these overlays. The product was manufactured by AtGames to include the game console, 2 hand controllers, a manual and 10 pairs of overlays (or 15 pairs if bought from Sam's Club). It is not necessary to have the overlays for every game in order to play them, although we do agree it's a nicer experience to have them. That is why we (Intellivision) decided to create the Overlays Pack with all of the other games' overlays and make that available to you to purchase separately. And in addition, if you purchased a Flashback unit from our webstore, your purchase included the Overlays Pack free.

 

In the meantime while you wait for your overlays, there are 2 other ways to get the benefits of them right now:

 

1. A black and white image of all the games' overlays is in the manual that came with your Flashback.

 

2. A color image of all the overlays is on our web site. Click link below: http://www.intellivisiongames.com/flashback_games.html You can view them, or print them, cut them out, and use them in your hand controllers.

 

NOTE: Also on our web site are scans of the original game manuals, with detailed instructions and tips & tricks for playing the games. They can be found on the same page in the link above.

 

Finally, if you ordered a Flashback unit after December 15 (and haven't received it yet), we are fulfilling those orders as quickly as possible as well. We had chosen initially to prioritize the overlay pack orders so that folks already with a Flashback unit could get their additional overlays. But we want you to have your Flashback unit as soon as possible too so please look for your ship confirmation email shortly! If you ordered a Flashback or the Retro Bundle before December 15 and have not yet received it, please contact us immediately so we can track what happened to it.

I know overlay sets were delayed but people seem to be getting them now so that's good. However, I placed order for flashback units as well on 12/1 & haven't gotten or heard anything & they were supposed to go out 1st? I'll contact Keith one last time and see if I can get status - can someone provide best email to reach him? Believe I have but wanted to make sure I'm using correct address.
