roland p #3 Posted December 2, 2014 The t-quotes disappeared in the linked post. But I still see them in the following post (google chrome this time): http://atariage.com/forums/topic/232269-why-demo-and-not-game/?p=3124130

Bryan #5 Posted December 5, 2014 Yeah, I'm having problems too. The last few posts of this topic aren't showing quotes correctly. If I go to edit the post, it shows correctly in the edit view. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/223221-the-real-atari-8bit-computer-successor/page-

If I go to edit the post, it shows correctly in the edit view. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/223221-the-real-atari-8bit-computer-successor/page-6 I did notice if you edit the post and save it, the quote tag is processed properly. However, that's obviously not a solution to the problem unless you see it happen with your own post. I just submitted a support request outlining the issue (and using the above thread as an example), so hopefully there will be a relatively quick resolution. ..Al
Albert #7 Posted December 5, 2014 This should be fixed now. Turns out it's a bug in the Tapatalk plugin, so I had to comment out some of their code to fix it. I'm very close to just removing Tapatalk support completely, as I'm sick of their shoddy work. ..Al
Rhomaios #8 Posted December 5, 2014 I was just considering making a thread about this yesterday. Glad to see it's resolved so easily. It was bugging me out thinking I had done something wrong somehow. Also, Tapatalk isn't the same as using the mobile version of this site, right? They're different? If so, what's the big deal with using just the mobile version?
Albert #9 Posted December 5, 2014 I was just considering making a thread about this yesterday. Glad to see it's resolved so easily. It was bugging me out thinking I had done something wrong somehow. It was bugging me out, since it just started happening and I hadn't touched the forum software. But I did update the Tapatalk plugin a few days ago, and I didn't make the connection that this issue was related. Also, Tapatalk isn't the same as using the mobile version of this site, right? They're different? If so, what's the big deal with using just the mobile version? The Tapatalk app is much, much nicer than the mobile version of the forum. You can also attach photos with Tapatalk, which you cannot do with the mobile version of the site. However, they continue to aggravate me with stupid things like this. In order for Tapatalk to work, some software needs to be installed on the forum side. ..Al
Ranthulfr #10 Posted December 6, 2014 Quoted text is no longer separated from new text in my Tapatalk app. They are formatted the same way and run together, so they're hard to tell apart. Started noticing this yesterday. Looks okay in Safari though. If there's a setting that needs to be adjusted I can't find it.

Interesting, well, until Tapatalk fixes the issue that was causing quotes to break on the forum (as described in this thread), I won't be able to do anything about that. I'll keep checking their support forum, as many people are complaining about this. ..Al

Albert #17 Posted December 10, 2014 It is strange that posts that weren't made via Tapatalk would suffer from that issue though, no? For the record, I haven't seen it at all today. There's a Tapatalk plugin installed on the forum that allows the Tapatalk mobile app to interact with the forum. That plugin was breaking the posts when a post was "Liked" by anyone using a web browser to do so. ..Al

That plugin was breaking the posts when a post was "Liked" by anyone using a web browser to do so. ..Al You posted on another thread that the problem has been corrected. However, I will say it's been made worse! In Tapatalk, no style is applied to quoted comments now. This means that something like this: ----------------- Old comment. New comment ----------------- Shows up like this: ----------------- Old comment. New comment ----------------- This makes reading responses in Tapatalk useless. I know that you've had some grief with Tapatalk breaking the site, but is there something that can be done about this? I only use Tapatalk to participate in AtariAge on my mobile. Please? -dZ. DZ-Jay #22 Posted December 18, 2014 Testing. Someone please like this post and see if this bold red area turns into a T-quote. I "liked" it, and it turned into a "t-quote"--it's like magic! So that's what has been happening to my posts lately. Once in a while, I see the "t-quotes" in my posts, and I just hit "edit" then "save" and it gets corrected. I didn't know it was the "like" action that did it. I guess I should be thankful that people like my posts enough to corrupt them.
