Rev
mmm... what about games that are finished but only in rom format? (tris, simon4, mastermind... those are complete from my side, not under development) I had just been leaving titles that may be complete un the IN DEVELOPMENT section, until It has been confirmed for a CIB release. Now if a game will ONLY ever be in Rom format, if the Rom is released publicly, I may make a Rom section. Possibly in the Currently Available section. wolfy62
Pitchforks are only to be used when pre-ordering actually means pre-paying for the privilege of waiting and having your money used for other things. And yes, definitely do away with the pre-order section. Thank you Slab, exactly and well said, and what i meant to say! A pre -order has been paid for and Tron Complete is only a list unless money has been collected up front.Perfect answer!
freewheel
I had just been leaving titles that may be complete un the IN DEVELOPMENT section, until It has been confirmed for a CIB release. Now if a game will ONLY ever be in Rom format, if the Rom is released publicly, I may make a Rom section. Possibly in the Currently Available section. Yeah, it's tricky. There are a lot of ROMs floating about on various lists that are nothing more than glorified tech demos, or half-complete concepts. It drives me nuts to see people considering these as actual games. Not saying vprette's games are like this of course, but I think you need to at least "release" in some fashion - even if it's just "here's the final, complete game" kinda thing. Right now we probably have several hundred ROMs in various states of completion in the programming threads. I wouldn't include those in any lists until such time as the author signs off and says "all done - here you go guys!". My suggestion for the Simon game, etc - these are all fairly small, simple games. ff there's no plan to do an actual physical release, it should be fairly easy to combine them into a single ROM image, and put a simple menu in front so you can select the game. "vprette's 3-in-1" or something. And call that "released".

Eric7100
Why can't we get a serious answer as to why Tron Complete was cancelled? I mean... after all the hype and excitement... suddenly, it just slips under the radar with only a cryptic explanation, and everybody is OK with that? I mean... after all the hype and excitement... suddenly, it just slips under the radar with only a cryptic explanation, and everybody is OK with that? It came down to many reasons. It was not my goal to get everyone excited then do this. Priorities change. Would you not rather have NEW games for Intv? It was always just a reissue of 4 Tron games. Should we as Tron fans settle for reissues? Its very expensive to make games. Having said that. Please be patient. Tron may rise again in a different form.... I mean... after all the hype and excitement... suddenly, it just slips under the radar with only a cryptic explanation, and everybody is OK with that? It wasn't a cryptic explanation at all. The developer has chosen not to continue this project, mostly due to boredom with re-hashing existing material. I think some of you might underestimate the sheer amount of work it takes to create homebrew, and to make it GOOD. Sometimes it's just not worth it. Hell, the programming forum is full of abandoned projects that look really cool in screenshots but probably never made it past the prototype stage. Please don't get your knickers in a knot about those.

+JasonlikesINTV
I recently played the Tron Arcade game for the first time (the one with 4 mini games in one). Was impressed. That would make for a great Intellivision game. At the very least, an upgraded Light Cycle game would be cool. On the arcade version you can alter speed. It also starts off with only one, then adds additional opponents. Very cool.

Let me ask you, with the limited resolution of the Intellivision, how could it be made to resemble more "TRON" and less Snafu? dZ.

+BBWW
I would much prefer a New or Improved Tron than Tron Complete if that matters. I have all the Tron Games. I have a mulitcart. But if you have boxes you want to get rid of. I'll take one. LOL
+BBWW
Boulder Dash® is on track for a 2014 release. Wow, I better sell some of my extra INTV stuff to get my PayPal account ready! Let me ask you, with the limited resolution of the Intellivision, how could it be made to resemble more "TRON" and less Snafu? dZ. Can you use MOBs in colored squares mode? That would at least allow you to draw a Cycle, even if it's still thick walls. You could also probably improve the speed and whatnot. Maybe I am thinking of another one of your games. Space Cunt, maybe, which IntelligentVision didn't even want to do, but you persisted? Or maybe I am thinking about what David always says about his games. Either way, I would've liked to see Tron Complete be released in that beautiful box. Just call me the most disappointed person on AtariAge, then, since nobody else seems to agree with me. Maybe that's because we have Match 5, not sure, but Intelligma 7 sounds even better to me. Of course, 7 games are a lot more.
