+adamantyr #1 Posted December 17, 2014 Hey all, I'm in the process of moving to a new house. As I was doing so, I discovered that I seem to have a LOT more TI stuff than I realized... three P.E. boxes, seven (!) consoles, 5 vintage CRT monitors... and honestly, I don't NEED all of this! It's already taking up space I'd rather have for other things. I am interested in re-homing some of this equipment to people who use it, I don't want to just haul it to Goodwill. (Who would have NO clue what to do with it...) Right now I'm still busy moving stuff and getting my old condo cleaned up so I can put it on the market as quickly as possible. But when that's done, I'll go through and test out everything and make sure things are in working order. Then I'll list it on this thread. I'm not looking to make a profit on anything. If postage is fully covered, I can mail things (the thought of postage on a P.E. box makes me shiver though...) but I also can meet anyone in the King/Snohomish county area of Washington to deliver it directly. Thanks, Adam

+save2600 #3 Posted December 17, 2014 Would be interested in an original TI monitor if it is boxed and in super nice shape. Same goes for a PEB box.
wyerd #4 Posted December 17, 2014 I'd be interested in a console, monitor & PEB if it could be shipped to New York State!

+adamantyr #7 Posted December 17, 2014 I'd be interested in a console, monitor & PEB if it could be shipped to New York State! That's possible, shipping would be pretty high though. And I'd want to pack things very carefully to avoid damage...
+adamantyr #8 Posted December 17, 2014 got some spare E/A or other cartridges? I have spare cartridges, but I think I only have one E/A cartridge and two SuperCarts. I'm definitely keeping the latter two, but I may part with the standard cartridge... I know those are getting rare and hard to find.

I'm actually building a supercart @ this post http://atariage.com/forums/topic/232781-building-a-supercart-from-arcade-shopper-pcb/?do=findComment&comment=3135162 I have one E/A but since the odds of me un-soldering the GROM successfully are 50/50 I could use a spare. +remowilliams #10 Posted December 18, 2014 If you're looking to get rid of regular old carts I could definitely use some for shells
PeBo #11 Posted December 18, 2014 You couldn't move a little further away from Xmas??? Geez Bud! Shipping to Canada is mighty pricey...But MAN, one of those PEB's would be soooooooo schweet!!! And now, watch closely. Here's how to look a gift horse in the mouth.... Would that be WITH the "flex" cable card?
mjnurney #12 Posted December 18, 2014 a peb would be awesome but shipping maybe a killer to the UK? it would be nice to rebuild the system I had all those years ago
TheMole #13 Posted December 18, 2014 If you have a working beige console you are looking to get rid of and are willing to ship to Belgium, I wouldn't mind giving it a nice home. I have two silver ones, but love the look of the beige ones (I know, I know... but the heart wants what it can't get/doesn't have, I guess )
Willsy #14 Posted December 18, 2014 but love the look of the beige ones That's just perverted!

wyerd #17 Posted December 18, 2014 Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to have to pass. After I calmed down from the initial excitement,i figured that I wouldn't have enough room, and somebody else should have the opportunity.

Omega-TI #19 Posted December 18, 2014 With all these local people in the Pacific Northwest, maybe we could have our own little TI-Faire or Swap Meet / computer group meeting this spring?

Justin Payne #21 Posted December 18, 2014 With all these local people in the Pacific Northwest, maybe we could have our own little TI-Faire or Swap Meet / computer group meeting this spring? I have attended the Seattle Retro Computer Society meetings a few times. That might be a good place to meet. I just got my hands on my TI stuff and am in the process of learning more about it as well as looking out for parts to build my collection.

And now, watch closely. Here's how to look a gift horse in the mouth.... Would that be WITH the "flex" cable card? What use would a P.E. box be without one? I'm pretty sure I have those for both of the other P.E. boxes... I have finished moving all my stuff as of today, but the TI stuff is largely buried now. It's going to take me a week or so before I can take inventory and test hardware. I know I have at least one NON-working console in the bunch some jerk sent me years ago, so that one would mainly be useful as parts...

+adamantyr #24 Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) Some updates... I found out that not all the TI stuff my brother had made it's way to me, so I had to go fetch it myself... Now I got a ton of hardware and a still messy new home and it's time to do some spring cleaning! I've also been thinking about it... and I have decided that I don't need my original P.E. box anymore. I'm almost entirely on emulator these days, and all I really need there is my CF Flash drive and my cartridges, along with a nice monitor. So, I currently have the following: - Two Peripheral expansion boxes with RS232 cards, 32k memory expansions, two 5 1/4" 360k floppy drives IN the case. One of them has a Corcomp Disk Controller, the other a TI disk controller. My Corcomp system also has an external 5 1/4" 360k drive in it's own enclosure. OLD DSK3, baby! - Four consoles, all working, black and silver, all of them pre-1983. - Three composite monitors of varying type, I think one is black and white and the other two are color. One is a very nice Magnaox bought from Triton in the 80's and still in original packaging - A couple monitor cables and power supplies, RF modulators... who still uses those though? - Several cartridges, including a spare Editor/Assembler cartridge - Lots and lots and LOTS of floppy disks of software. I've transferred everything to my PC and emulation so I don't need to keep any of it. - Blank 5 1/4" floppy disks, lots of these - TI books. SOME I'm keeping, but with all the digital ones available I don't feel the need to keep hard copies all the time I also have the following non-TI stuff, if you're into other systems: - A TRS-80 Color Computer 2 with 32k RAM - A TRS-80 Color Computer 3 with 128k RAM - The multi-pack and disk system for the TRS-80 - Tandy joystick - Several cartridges and disk software I rescued these from my brother, who has no interest in his old vintage system anymore, I'd like to see it go to a good home for someone who'd use and enjoy it. - Apple IIe with 128k - Apple Monitor - Apple drives (two) - Some floppy disk software I bought this on eBay awhile back. I always wanted an Apple II as a kid and to play Ultima II and III on it. I fulfilled that wish, and now it just kinda takes up unnecessary space. Now, I'm not going to give stuff away for free. A bunch of educational carts for shells, meh, take them, but the P.E. box is worth a bit more than that. I'll be happy to entertain all offers, especially if someone does me the service of coming by the house to pick it up. (If I have to drive or mail something that's another matter...) Please contact me privately or post here if you're interested in anything in particular, or have questions about something. Thank you!
