Colecovision arcade controllers

I'm making some more Colecovision arcade controllers. These use used cases and joysticks. Buttons, balltop, microswitches, pcb, internal wiring, keypad, .187/.110 quick connects, QC hard covers, rubber feet, sticker, db9 cord are new. Cases all have scratches and wear, between 1 and 5, cases are 3. Everything is washed, cleaned and rebuilt. Joystick has fresh Shin Etsu grease. Stock comes with 8-way, 4-way gate is an option. Price is $180 and 4-way gate is $15 + shipping.

Do new "microswitches" also include those in the joystick as well (or perhaps they are leaf switches...I don't know)? or is the whole JS assembly what originally came with the unit? Would my choice be only 8 way, or only 4 way?

Price is now $195 as I forgot to add in the price of all the parts.

Custom Colecovision arcade controller PCB and electronics

Seimitsu LB-30 balltop - 30mm

(4) Seimitsu 24mm screw in buttons

internal wiring

~6 foot db9 cord - I also have (2) recycled Coleco Super Action Controller db9 cord

2 custom stickers

.110 /.187 quick connects - crimped and soldered to wires

Sanwa hard quick connect covers

keypad

internal JST-XH connectors

(4) 3M rubber feet

custom 3d printed 4-way gate (if ordered)

(4) new Seimitsu/Panasonic microswitches (2N)

 

used parts:

case - cut in Bridgeport milling machine to allow for keypad

joystick, Joystick is re-lubed with fresh Shin Etsu grease

 

only one gate installed at a time

 

8-way gate is awesome for 8-way games
8-way gate is not so hot for 4-way games
4-way gate is awesome for 4-way games
4-way gate is horrible for 8-way games
4 or 8 way are fine for 2-way games

8-way games are:
Mecha 8, Zaxxon Super Game

4-way games are:
Pac-Man Collection, Mario Bros., Frogger, Donkey Kong

2-way games are:
Moon Patrol

first one is done and I also added in a new joystick bearing and spring receiver.
