I think folks often lose sight of the fact that it's a religious holiday to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I give my folks bottles of their favorite booze and wine, and they make a great dinner of turkey, ham, and fixings for the family and neighbors. I think folks often lose sight of the fact that it's a religious holiday . . . I didn't know that Saturnalia was a religious holiday. I think a lot of people don't care. Just another excuse to have a party. It's like Super Bowl Sunday with a tree and presents. If we lived somewhere else, some people would be ignoring the reasons for their holidays too. But the nuts there probably chop off your head if you ignore the reason for the season, so it's nice to live in a society that lets us do what we want for the most part. Then we gave my youngest Lego Batman 3, which she's been loving, and my oldest finally got a 3DS XL, which she's been asking for well over a year. And I've been excited to see that she's been enjoying it, and not something that she's simply been asking for, only to get it and not really care.
