Hey everybody, I am super excited about this new video arcade that I got to write about for the San Francisco Examiner. In working on this article, I got to interview the legendary Video Bob, owner of the equally legendary Starbase Arcade which operated in Marin County for over three decades.

 

I asked Bob if he was familiar with Atari Age, but he didn't seem to have heard of this site.

 

 

Anyway, this bar has a great setup, with over 20 of Bob's machines being there and in very good condition. This includes one official Williams (or is it Bally?) Multicade cabinet, plus another, um, slightly less official cabinet that is not a MAME cabinet, but that does have over 50 games in it.

 

The only downside is that because this is a bar, you have to be over 21 to visit.
