There's always alternatives for paying rent. Have you applied for unemployment? I was on unemployment for 9 months after I lost my job last year. It sucked, but at least I could make rent and pay bills. Sure I downsized my monthly expenses and sold some stuff I wasn't using any more. But I was also able to buy an Atari Jaguar with careful planning and saving. I hate to see anyone have to give up something they love for money. Life's too short and happiness is scarce.
