eebuckeye #1 Posted January 9, 2015 I have been trying to locate a good source for disk images for C128 mode to use with the 1541 Ultimate. I can not find the image for "I am the C128" by Activision (and other commercial 128 software) and would like to find many public domain programs. I know programs for the 128 are hard to find but have seen quite a few in RUN magazine, etc.. Thanks!
Rybags #2 Posted January 9, 2015 There's not a lot to begin with. Maybe a handful of games that require 128 mode. There's probably 2-3 dozen games for the C64 that detect the faster CPU ability and take advantage of it, either from the onset or done later on as hacks. Fairly sure there was a recent thread on Lemon64 about it.
eebuckeye #3 Posted January 9, 2015 Agree.. there was not much software specifically for the 128 but I have seen a decent amount of public domain software.. would be nice to get as much as possible.

RobertB #5 Posted January 10, 2015 Ah, too bad www.commodore128.org is not around anymore, because there was a comprehensive list of C128 software listed there (and there was quite a bit, relatively speaking). Also Loadstar and Loadstar 128 disk magazines had C128 software in their disks. Seems that most of the list is cloned at http://www.commodore.se/c128.htm However, the site is missing some of the more recent news, like that of Digimaster 128.
