Mister VCS #1 Posted March 29, 2003 You can buy a 2600 jr clone with 32- built -in- games with a standard VCS joystick (clone) for 14,50 € in Munich, Schwanthalerstr. at an import/export- shop!! Nice the see the 2600 in a window of a shop in the year 2003!
rasty #2 Posted March 29, 2003 Hey that's cool! I've been in Munchen a few months ago.. if they had one, I'd have got it! Are you buying? Rasty.-
AtariDude #3 Posted March 29, 2003 Which company is making the clone? Did they get approval to do this or are they just doing so on their own?
King Atari #4 Posted March 30, 2003 I bet this was spurred on by the Jakks controller. Hope to see one of those in the states!
Video #5 Posted March 30, 2003 Wonder what it would cost to import one. BTW, what is Germany? Pal, NTSC, or SECAM? (I think that's the name of the third one) If It comes state side, you better believe I'll pick one up. I'd see it as a great thing. I know there's a market for new under warantie 2600's, as well as other systems. And now, with the internet, Atari wouldn't have to push sales hard or anything. Thomas Jentzsch #6 Posted March 30, 2003 BTW, what is Germany? Pal, NTSC, or SECAM? PAL ("we" invented it )
Mister VCS #7 Posted March 30, 2003 The system is called "2600 compatible system". The box is a clone of the regular Atari 2600 jr silver "lunch-box". I think you can´t play regular 2600 carts with system, only the built in games. I don´t buy this, because I only collect "original"hardware-stuff. But I bought the 64 in one game cartridge with rare games like "Clown Downtown" or "Fire Spinner". The name of the shop is "Jode Discount Market" in the city of Munich. But I bought the 64 in one game cartridge with rare games like "Clown Downtown" or "Fire Spinner".The name of the shop is "Jode Discount Market" in the city of Munich. Uihja! I just discovered that "Bank Heist" is on this cartridge. Do they have more of the 64 in 1 cartridges available in Munich? How much € is it? Greetings, Manuel
