CMFilm27 #1 Posted January 23, 2015 Hi all! I'm new to this forum and in need of help. I'm working on a documentary about the history of Silicon Valley and I'm seeking someone with a working Pong arcade console in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area. We are hoping to film Atari Pong gameplay as soon as possible. I've looked into buying a home console but it seems like all the home console versions of Pong don't look like the original 1972 version. Is that true? All I need to do is film the screen. Looking for the best, most authentic looking pong to film. I've been in touch with the Strong Museum and the Atari Museum but those won't work for logistical reasons. Let me know if you have any other ideas! And PM me if you know any collectors in the area! Thank you so much. - new to all things atari
2600 Forever #2 Posted January 23, 2015 Don't you dare record a home unit and claim it is the original arcade machine. I think I have seen a Pong machine at pretty much every classic game show, so mark a date and buy a plane ticket.
Greg2600 #3 Posted January 23, 2015 I think Silverball Museum down in Asbury Park has one. Don't think I've seen any others in arcades around here lately.

CMFilm27 #5 Posted January 23, 2015 Silverball was a good tip. Sadly, their arcade machine is running the home pong version. The search continues. Thanks!
Keops #6 Posted January 24, 2015 The arcade version was at the Museum of the Moving Image years ago but I don't know if they still have it. I don't remember if it was working. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum_of_the_Moving_Image_%28New_York_City%
