I might be going mad or something but... Is this dust on/in the LCD on my Lynx??!

At first I thought it was dead pixels/bad LCD (the LCD has line issues as it is) but a closer look... It looks like little hairs/dust??

Anyone had this before? Can it be removed?

Sort of a forgotten thread, but thought I might inquire here rather than start another:

Disregard the discoloration/green color, etc.-The lcd is "good", "clear", "perfect" except for slight to moderate number of sprinkled dots that I attempted to catch in pictures {only seen when games are on}.

1.) Anyone able to confirm this is the same problem? Dying, damaged lcd? {It's sat in a warehouse for 20+ years, degradation due to sitting conditions would make perfect sense to me}

2.) Anyone have an opinion on the likelihood it will stay this way for another 20+ years and not degrade further? {It remains very playable now, and I would prefer not to disturb the case, contents, etc.-except for during gameplay, of course :-) }

Thanks everyone for any thoughts.

Thought it might help to add that Best E has said I could send it back {on my dime} to get checked, and, if it fails their test, then they'll do something. But, to that #2) question - it doesn't seem to make much sense to disturb it for a new flawed screen when any good Lynx ultimately earns a McWill it seems.
