Shooting platforming, landspeeder, flying, tie fighting. And it all gels together to tell the story, so it still feels like you're in the same game throughout. Torr Posted January 24, 2015 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Shining Force I & II Combining Adventure gamestyle with RPG elements with tactical combat was a great idea. It may seem like they didn't really combine anything together at first, but if you play Shining Force CD, where they ported two Game Gear games into one big game, it's VERY noticeable as it's just battle after battle with no over world to wander, no little puzzles to solve, no secrets to find, no townsfolk to converse with, etc... it REALLY loses a lot. That's also why I believe Shining Force II is praised so much more than Shining Force I, because it has more of everything I just listed.
