+slx
I tried to get Raster Music Tracker 1.28 running on a Mac under Wine but wasn't successful with different Wine packages (WineBottler, WineSkin, PlayonMac). Any tips on what's required to get it working?

Irgendwer
Really no one? I remember that I need an additional Windows DLL to let it run under Wine/Ubuntu. Haven't access to my machine now, but could find out which it was...
mgr_inz_rafal
Well, if I am not mistaken Kuba Husak (http://atariage.com/forums/user/32075-jhusak/) uses Mac computers. And since he's - among other things - an Atari musician there is a chance that he can help. Please try to get in touch.

+skr
I´m running Parallels Desktop using a Bootcamp partition. Works fine for me on my MacBookPro from 2011.
Heaven/TQA
I used RMT with Parallels...
+slx
I stopped using Parallels as they always asked for a 50$ upgrade after the free or much cheaper OS X upgrade.... I tried to install the DLLs in Wine but probably didn't put them in the right directory. If all else fails, I'll use Boot Camp....
Irgendwer
I tried to install the DLLs in Wine but probably didn't put them in the right directory. I had a look: It worked on my machine, after putting MFC42.DLL (6.02.40) and MSVCIRT.DLL (5.1.26) into the RMT.EXE folder.

Mathy
Hello guys Maybe somebody could ask Fandal if he knows if the source code to RMT is available somewhere. And compile it for the Mac. Sincerely Mathy
Creature XL
Hello guys Maybe somebody could ask Fandal if he knows if the source code to RMT is available somewhere. And compile it for the Mac. Sincerely Mathy A simple recompile might not work. the complete GUI has to be reprogrammed and this is not necessarily an easy task with such a non-standard GUI. kogden
VMWare Fusion or VirtualBox are the best solutions I've found thus far. Parallels is pretty cool too. VirtualBox is free if price is an object. I have much better luck using a VM in Unity mode than using WINE. RMT should run fine in a VM. I run all my embedded hardware dev environments and such in a Win7 VM with USB pass-through. Works great.

WINE has the big advantage of not requiring a Win license (and I'm a bit afraid of letting a Windows without full Virus protection loose in my file system). Thanks for the VirtualBox reminder!
