Program for Game Pad Compatibility with PC Game Programs?

Recommended Posts

Okay, here's the thing, I have this game pad that I've not used since I stopped using the TI emulator and got in to real iron, but now my son has me interested in some 'newer' PC games. The problem is, all these games seem to have 10,000 different key presses, but the games I have do not accept the game pad as an option, like the Steam version of Duke Nukem 3D.

So, I'm wondering, is there TSR-like program out the anywhere that will scan the key pad and then send the information to the game program as key presses that the program will understand? If so, I'd sure appreciate a link. :)
