California Gaming Expo a hit for Atari!

Recommended Posts

3 SnailSoft games were at the heart of the expo this month and were in fact so popular they made RETRO magazine!
The California Gaming Expo this month, January of 2015, was a smash hit and center stage were 3 of my (SnailSoft Software) own Atari 2600 games!
Amidst over 300 gaming companies and more than 2000 games displayed, only a handful made the RETRO Magazine, including my own :D
I would like to take this time to thank my Publicist (editor, story concepts, revisionist, slave driver), Gray Games, who has worked closely with me for nearly a decade now;
Hozer Video Games for manufacturing the cartridges and finding newer and cheaper means to produce Atari games;
And more recently, Good Deal Games, for distribution and sales of these games.
Without all their work and support, none of these games would have been possible.
When I saw the SEGA logo appear I thought for a moment that someone had brought up my Cassini Emulator work again.
Upon closer review, I see the new Atari 2600 entries!
The next batch of games will be a lot more recent and be even better with newer coding and some new tricks.
Thank you all. It is little things like this that help me to forget all the negatives in life.

Doh!
That is a typo. Somewhere along the way the abbreviation got mixed up with a conversation about another showing in CA.
It should be, Classic Gaming Expo.

Thanks for mentioning this so it could be cleared up.
It should also be noted this is not the first thread about these new games.
It seems others have also noticed many new games being made for the Atari 2600 and other systems.

Was just reading through the newest issue of RETRO (Metroidvania) when I found a segment called Homebrew Heaven listing a handful of VCS brews that I've never heard of.

Did I miss these on AtariAge somewhere?

I won't go into details as hopefully they are now resolved and many more games previously not covered by AA will now get recognition in the Atari community.
