SIO2 Posted February 5, 2015 Share Posted February 5, 2015 I am at the point with this game that the key to mastering this game is figuring out how to not lose multiple lives after you die and re-spawn. It has been a while since I played the arcade version but it seems like the re-spawn location was either random or higher up. Re-spawning low every time is a disadvantage. The programmers probably couldn't squeeze random spawning in. As for the floating eggs, well, I've got to say I kind of like that touch! Makes this port unique, and just that extra bit o' difficult (even if it defies all logic). -----------------edit------------------------ WAIT WAIT a little better! Also, does anyone know the programming reason for the 'dead man's gulch' effect on the side gutters? [side thought: I'm hitting Stella's Lounge in Grand Rapids on Saturday. ...Plan on breaking their in-house Q*Bert record... I had 4 lives left at ~109,000 (my previous best score) and thought "Hey, this is gonna be a significant improvement". Lost all four lives in the following 30 seconds .
