Firefox Laserdisc game secret bases?

Finally got the CHD file for the classic Atari laserdisc game Firefox.

Something I don't remember from the game back in the early days is that the game tells you that by flying at ground level you can uncover "secret bases" I did some googling, and cannot find info on these. Anyone have any ideas on these and how to get them?

The secret bases fire missiles at you when you are flying low. You need to destroy them for bonus points. You won't see them, but you will see missiles coming from the ground. Shooting the ground will destroy the secret bases.

Has anybody converted this laserdisc footage to a digital file?

There is a version of a CHD file that works with MAME, I don't know if it is a "true" laserdisc rip, but it is 11gig.

 

 

I got it out of the newsgroups, posted several times over the last 1400 days.
