Question about JS99er

Recommended Posts

I am trying to learn how to use JS99er to load from disk. I don't have a lot of experience with emulators, so it's not obvious to me how to load, for example, files from disk to play Tunnels of Doom. I tried downloading and using Open DSK/TIFiles to "mount" Tunnels.dsk which gives me this:

*** Warning *** Tunnels.dsk is not in TIFILES or V9T9 format. Assuming D/F 80.

Loading 'Tunnels.dsk' to FLOPPY1 ...

Does this file need to be in one of the two formats mentioned?

I'm hoping someone with experience with JS99er can help me in the right direction.

Thanks much!

If you attach the file you're trying to mount I will be able to tell what the problem is.

Rasmus - thanks for the reply. Also, what a brilliant bit of work JS99'er is!

I think that my file probably is bad. I did download it from the web since I didn't have it in DSK format. I played around a little more with DSK mounting and I think what I'm doing is correct, and should work if I get a properly-formatted TOD file. Is it possible to download a legitimate one from somewhere? I own multiple copies of both the cassette and disk versions, so I'm not pirating anything :)

I am not sure how to copy the floppy to a DSK file. That might be my first quest.
