sugarpappy #1 Posted February 9, 2015 Hello I am new to the forum. I just put a bid on an Intellivision, E.C.S. and 61 games. I bid 200 dollars and didn't think I had any chance of winning but I received a call on Friday that I had won. I have been going through all the games and checking values and I found that I had a super series big league baseball. I see that this is a very rare game. I am just wondering what it would sell for. I haven't been able to find any on ebay and the prices I have found online are from a few years ago. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
mjarnold7 #2 Posted February 9, 2015 I'm sure you will have a lot of people on here make you some offers! Great find!
mr_intv #3 Posted February 9, 2015 Fantastic find indeed. You might be able to get most of your investment back ....if not more.
JasonlikesINTV #4 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) Nice find indeed. I'll start the hypothetical bidding at $100. Honestly, your best bet is to sell on eBay, unless someone offers you a lot here. $100 would be an absolute minimum, but it should EASILY fetch more like $200+ Pricing is tough on this one. It's super rare, but only valuable as a variation. You can buy the Mattel version for around $80-90 CIB. sugarpappy #5 Posted February 9, 2015 I am going to sell it on ebay. Should I start the ebay auction at $200 or put a buy it now? Thanks for the very fast response.
JasonlikesINTV #6 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) Start at $0.99 and let the market decide I don't think anyone would be scared away at a starting bid of $100, however BINs tend to get the big bucks. You could always try to start bidding at $200. Either it doesn't sell or it goes higher. As much as I would like to have this game, I probably won't be trying for it. It's a low priority variation for me that I wouldn't spend $200 for. It looks really nice, though. Edited February 9, 2015 by JasonlikesINTV
+BBWW #7 Posted February 9, 2015 99¢ will get people into it, I started an auction for that with 27 sealed games. It depends how you feel. If you sell it at that start it now cool. If you want to engage more people I'd start at $99 and see what goes on from there. I have a sealed one...but not that variant. If this was sealed I'd be jumping up and down. We all have our own approach. If it doesn't sell at $200, it doesn't sell. Try again in a week or two. I wouldn't auto re-list.
Rev #8 Posted February 9, 2015 Start low, put a reserve. I think I paid 150 to 200 for my copy years ago?
+BBWW #9 Posted February 9, 2015 I hate reserves, I don't often even try with those. Be honest and start with your minimum, that's just me.
+BBWW #10 Posted February 9, 2015 I'll give you $150 and a CIB Mattel of the same game for it. :-)
sugarpappy #11 Posted February 9, 2015 I don't want to be greedy but my minimum would probably be $200. It would be nice if I could say that I made my money back on a single game and still had another 60 games, a system and an ecs.
+BBWW #12 Posted February 9, 2015 I hear you, go for it! Always nice to have the hobby pay for it's self! That is my goal as well. So far I could be doing better. gunoz #13 Posted February 9, 2015 In my opinion starting lower and letting bids happen results in a higher sale price. Starting too high will drive a bunch of people away right off the bat. Buy It Now's are a mixed bag, sellers usually either price too low and lose money, or price too high and get teased over in the eBay thread.
IntellivisionDude #14 Posted February 9, 2015 I know this community very well and people tend to bid more and get more interested if you start it at 99 cents. People hate high starting bids.
sugarpappy #15 Posted February 9, 2015 I have no problem starting the auction at 99 cents. Do you think there will be enough interest? If i can get at least to 200 hundred I will be happy anymore is just gravy.
Eric7100 #16 Posted February 9, 2015 Just put the darn thing on eBay, already!
Intymike #17 Posted February 9, 2015 It's funny how often new people introducing themself to the community by asking for the worth of something they want to sell.
wolfy62 #18 Posted February 9, 2015 Wow, and you found that in a lot with 60 other games? Super pickup! I only have the World Series version, is the Super Series one much more rare? Anyone on this.........

I mean what is the point, just start at the "reserve" if that is the minimum you will take.
+cmart604 #20 Posted February 9, 2015 I suspect you'll get your $200 and likely more
Atari_Bill #21 Posted February 10, 2015 You'll have plenty of interest believe me. I'd personally go $150 and I NEVER bid over 100 on anything. That being said I don't think I'd even be close at 150.
mjarnold7 #22 Posted February 10, 2015 I paid a lot over $200, lol. You may be surprised! I waited a long time to get mine and plenty of people were bidding on it.......probably Rev driving the price up on me, lol....
