GrimlockDESTROY
Forgive me if this topic is in the wrong area but i need some help. I recently aquired a Halloween cart for the 2600, the label doesn't seem new and it really looks legit. Only problem is, It is instead Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Were these wizards carts ever labeled wrong in production? I couldn't believe it when the title screen popped up so i have no idea if it has been mislabeled/wrong label. Can any of the veteran Atari collectors chime in and possible shed some info on this, i would greatly appreciate it. Even the end label says Halloween, but it's not. I have included some pics of the cart and the title screen on my tv.
atari181
I would say it was just mislabeled during manufacturing. It's definately a legit copy.
BassGuitari
I would say it was just mislabeled during manufacturing. It's definately a legit copy. This. Wizard didn't even put labels on a bunch of their cartridges, so it stands to reason that an error like this could happen.
GrimlockDESTROY
Thanks a lot for the info, i knew Wizard wrote on the Halloween carts with a marker, but I had no idea that there were mislabeled Texas Chainsaw Massacre games, but both coming from the same company one has to suspect that there are more like this in the wild. Philflound
So far you are the only person I think to come forward with a mislabeled copy. Does it look re-glued at all? Phil

Phil Doesn't look re-glued at all to me. @op: If your looking to sell that cart, I'm looking to buy.
2600 Forever
So far you are the only person I think to come forward with a mislabeled copy. Does it look re-glued at all? Phil Shows you how much you know about carts. Nobody would ever remove the label, since the carts do not have screws in them. The endlabels can fall off by just looking at them wrong. Philflound
Not that a label was removed, but can dry out. Can't tell you how many label less carts I've had over the years. It's most likely a mis-label, but it's always good to inquire. Phil

GrimlockDESTROY
Hopefully these are clearer pics, I do see black coming through on the front label which i assume is the glue.
