bikeguychicago
I wrote and asked for pics and was told it had been sold, for whatever that's worth.
ACFinPGH
Ya total BS. There was a discussion about it when it was posted to CL New York a few months ago. It's always sold and there are never any pics.
+thegoldenband
The presence of "Nice Ideas" as an itemized entry on the list is a big giveaway. The whole thing is a copy-and-paste from RarityGuide.com. Whoever's posting it just wants to mess with people, or try to get their info for nefarious purposes.

tep392
That fact that it's on Chicago Craigs list tell's me it can't be true. Very few good deals to be had there. Too many resellers or people using ebay as their price guide.

freewheel
Stuff like this just confuses me. Other than trolling for shits and giggles, I don't understand the point.

Illtiger1
Craig's list was good a few years ago, but like tep said it's basically now filled with Ebayers who don't want to pay the fees.

7800fan
Anyone offer to "buy it" without asking for picture. But when it comes to arraigning meeting place, ask to meet in police station. Bet are they will clam up, ignore you, and wait for a different victim.
chuys450
This same ad was in the Los Angeles CL last week.......He told me that he just sold it.
Crazy Climber
This is very common with numerous items. Its just a way to fish for active emails. Several people that respond will start getting spam emails sent from their address to all their contacts. Happens a LOT in the pinball community. Medieval madness $3500, etc..

Medieval madness $3500, etc.. where can i get one for $3500. I sold my frankenstein pinball for $1000 that i paid for it on craigslist. First caller picked it up in 15 minutes. I had 40 people call within a half hour. Found out i sold it for dirt cheap.

Crazy Climber
Not quite sure I follow how this works. If someone gets my email address from a Craigslist chat, how do they then send email to my contacts? Not sure how the logistics work, but it was explained to me awhile back. They put the fake adds on Craigslist to get actively used emails so they are not hacking dead accounts/etc.. Often times the spam emails they send out to all the contacts will have something in the title about the item you inquired about (Intellivision, speedboats, pinball, etc..) assuming your friends/contacts will have similar interests and they will open it. I don't know anything about hacking emails but I was told that Craigslists system works good for this and is why a lot of the small time hackers/spammers do it there. Probably some bot program that is set up to hack the CL system... where can i get one for $3500. I sold my frankenstein pinball for $1000 that i paid for it on craigslist. First caller picked it up in 15 minutes. I had 40 people call within a half hour. Found out i sold it for dirt cheap. hehe, thats the point of it. It will be a good deal that everyone wants (MM for $3500) so they get a barrage of emails before it is flagged. Yeah Frankenstein for $1000 is a pretty good deal. I sold my Frankie for $1250 a few years back. It's probably about a $1500 game now with the recent pinflation but things are starting to normalize again....

Crazy Climber
Pinflation is that something like intyflation lol... Yeah, lol, pinball (mainly of the DMD variety) went ape shit though... Medieval Madness really did used to be a $3500 game ten years back, then it started hitting 10K!! I sold my mint Indiana Jones five years or so ago for $2800 and thought I hit the jackpot (paid around $2000) then it seemed overnight they were hitting $6k+ (in the condition mine was in) Twilight zone was another one I sold for $2800 around the same time, again, thought I got a great deal as that was a $2500 game all day when I started collecting, same story, it sky rocketed. Hell, Demo man is pulling 2k now and that used to be a $600-$800 game. Was kind of the "working mans DMD" as you could get them dirt cheap. Times have changed in the pinball scene and was enough for me to cash out. They are starting to creep back down though
